Charles Reydellet
Born in 1995, Charles Reydellet obtained his DEM in 2012 at the “Conservatoire de Lyon” before completing a scientific baccalaureate. After passing the entrance exam to the “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon” (CNSMD), he studied successively at the “Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Trossingen” (Germany; under Szabolcs Zempléni), the “Kunstuniversität Graz” (Austria; under Hector McDonald), the “Universität der Künste Berlin” (under Christian Dallmann and Sebastian Posch), and the “Haute école de musique de Genève” (Postgraduate).

He won first prize at the international music competition “Città di Chieri” (Italy), was a finalist in the international competition “Città di Porcia” (Italy), and obtained 4th prize at the “Concours International Tchaïkovski” (Russia).

He regularly performs as a guest musician with the “Münchener Kammerorchester” (Munich), the “Orchestre de la Suisse Romande” (Geneva), the “Kammerorchester der Komischen Oper” (Berlin), the “Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra” (Saint-Petersburg), the “New Russia State Symphony Orchestra” (Moscow), the “Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra” (Pecs), the “Russian State Symphony Orchestra” (Moscow), the “Synchron Stage Orchestra” (Vienna), the “Opéra Nice Côte d’Azur” (Nice), the “Orchestre National de Cannes” (Cannes), while also performing in chamber music settings (Donaueschingen Contemporary Music Festival, Ensemble Oktoplus).

Since 2018, Charles Reydellet has been a horn professor at the Conservatoire de Nice as well as within the University Côte d’Azur for Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Performance and Pedagogy.

Bertrand Chatenet
Originally from Paris, Bertrand Chatenet began learning the horn with Patrice Petitdidier at the Conservatoire de Gennevilliers, then with Jérôme Rouillard, and chamber music with Paul Meyer and Eric Lesage. In 2009, he went to study in Germany alongside Erich Penzel, Christian Lampert, and Christoph Ess at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart, then with Christian-Friedrich Dallmann and Sebastian Posch at the Universität der Künste Berlin.

After holding positions as a soloist at the Berlin Opera and then at the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin, he has been the principal horn since December 2021 in the prestigious Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. A highly sought-after orchestral musician, he has had the opportunity to perform as principal horn with orchestras from Germany and around the world such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Stockholm Radio Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of esteemed conductors including Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Klaus Mäkelä, Mariss Jansons, Gustavo Dudamel, and Simon Rattle.

He has also frequently performed as a soloist, notably with the Deutsche Sinfonieorchester at the Berlin Philharmonie playing Schumann’s Konzertstück, and with the Konzerthaus Berlin under the direction of Christophe Eschenbach.

His passion for teaching led him, parallel to his studies, to join the teaching staff at the UdK Berlin until 2022, where he succeeded Bruno Schneider as horn professor at the Haute École de Musique de Genève.
