Description
David Saudubray began his musical journey at the Bordeaux Conservatory, where he was awarded gold medals in piano and chamber music in 1994. In 1997, he was admitted to the CNSM of Paris in the class of Brigitte Engerer. There, he earned prizes in piano and chamber music under Pierre-Laurent Aimard (as part of a trio with Sarah Nemtanu and Gautier Capuçon).
A laureate of several international competitions, including the Maria Canals Competition in Barcelona in 2005, David Saudubray has been invited to renowned festivals such as Auvers-sur-Oise, La Roque-d’Anthéron, Nohant, and the Pianofolies of Le Touquet. In 2007, he performed with the soloists of the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine at the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux.
Also active as a vocal coach and conductor, David Saudubray has conducted Donizetti’s *L’Elisir d’Amore* in Italy and participated in the production of Ligeti’s *Aventures* and *Nouvelles Aventures* at the Opéra National de Paris with the Justiniana Ensemble. In March 2008, he was the pianist for *Pierrot Lunaire* at the Salle Cortot (conducted by Denis Comtet). Additionally, David Saudubray regularly performs with the orchestra Les Siècles, under the direction of François-Xavier Roth.
In December 2009, he received the Charles Oulmont Foundation Award. Since the 2008/2009 season, he has also participated in the recording of music for the France 2 television series *Au Siècle de Maupassant*.
David Saudubray has been teaching piano at the CRR of Boulogne-Billancourt since September 2008.
