Description
Claude Lefebvre studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she won a First Prize in flute in Michel Debost’s class and a First Prize in chamber music in Christian Lardé’s class. She then perfected her skills under Patrick Gallois. A winner of the International Competition of Vierzon and of the Cziffra and Menuhin Foundations, she was admitted to the Orchestre des Concerts Pasdeloup. In 1990, she became the Principal Soloist at the Paris National Opera Orchestra. She has played under the direction of Georges Prêtre, Myung Whun Chung, Valery Gergiev, Seiji Ozawa, Pierre Boulez, Armin Jordan, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Christoph von Dohnanyi, Semyon Bychkov, Philippe Jordan, James Conlon, Gustavo Dudamel, among others. Holding a C.A., she teaches at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and is in charge of an Advanced class at the Paul Dukas Conservatory in Paris 12th district. She also gives numerous masterclasses in France and abroad each year. She has recorded three educational CDs “Escales”, “Rêverie”, “Ballade” and is the director of a collection dedicated to the flute at Alfonce Production editions.
