A prominent pianist of his generation, Emmanuel Strosser is a guest artist at prestigious festivals such as the Festival de l’Épau, the Orangerie de Sceaux, the La Roque d’Anthéron International Piano Festival, the International Festival of Colmar, the Prades Festival, the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, and “La Folle Journée”. He performs in recitals and as a soloist with symphonic formations including the Radio-France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre de Picardie, the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse, the Orchestre National de Lille, the Orchestre National de Montpellier, and the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra. Apart from his recitals, chamber music holds an important place in his career. He frequently collaborates with artists such as Olivier Charlier, Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabédian, Xavier Phillips, Raphaël Pidoux, Peter Wiespelwey, Romain Guyot, François Leleux, the Prazak Quartet, and members of the Orchestre de Paris. With pianist Claire Désert, he forms an essential piano duo for four hands. Emmanuel Strosser is also a member of the Owon Trio with Olivier Charlier and Korean cellist Sung-Won Yang. Alongside five other pianists, Emmanuel Strosser has performed the complete Beethoven Sonatas and the complete piano music of Schumann in numerous countries. In addition to his concerts in Europe, including venues such as Wigmore Hall, Royal Academy in London, Louisiana Museum in Denmark, La Cité de la Musique, Opéra Comique, and Salle Gaveau in Paris, he regularly performs in South America, the United States, Japan, and Korea.

Originally from Strasbourg, Emmanuel Strosser studied under Hélène Boschi before entering the National Conservatory of Music in Paris, where he studied with Jean-Claude Pennetier (piano) and Christian Ivaldi (chamber music). After receiving top prizes unanimously, he furthered his studies with Leon Fleisher, Dimitri Bashkirov, and Maria Joao Pires. Winner of the Florence International Chamber Music Competition, he was a finalist in the 1991 Clara Haskil Competition. He is currently a piano professor at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris and a chamber music professor at the National Conservatory of Music in Lyon.

Emmanuel Strosser has participated in numerous recordings, all warmly received by the press: a Mozart album with Harmonia Mundi, Fauré’s two Piano Quintets with the Rosamonde Quartet, Fauré and Debussy’s Violin and Piano Sonatas with Régis Pasquier. Released by Assaï: Gabriel Fauré’s Ballade and Fantaisie with the Orchestre de Picardie, and Beethoven’s three Opus 10 Sonatas, which received a “Choc” award from Le Monde de la Musique. His recordings on the Mirare label include Dvorak’s Slavonic Dances for piano four hands with Claire Désert, two solo albums dedicated to Schubert and Chabrier respectively. His latest album “L’Enfance” with Claire Désert, released by Mirare in 2013, was awarded “5 Diapasons” and “4 Etoiles Classica”, and was praised by the Gramophone Magazine.
