“After being selected by Julian Bream to participate in the Rencontres Musicales d’Evian in 1996, Tristan Manoukian obtained a First Prize in guitar unanimously at the CNR of Marseille in the class of René Bartoli. In 1999, he completed his studies at the CNDSM of Paris with a First Prize in guitar unanimously in the class of Alberto Ponce, as well as obtaining the Diploma of Higher Education. He has performed as a soloist in various festivals (notably at the Printemps des Arts de Monaco) and has enriched his practice of chamber music with several ensembles—Ysire, Rosaces, Polychronies, Alchemy—that have been invited to perform in France and abroad. The vocal-guitar duo Miscellaneous (formed with soprano Céline Barcaroli) gave 80 concerts during a tour in France in 2015/16. Tristan Manoukian also continues to work on highlighting unpublished repertoires through arrangements, supported by the Canadian publisher Les Productions d’Oz. He holds the Certificat d’Aptitude and after teaching for 17 years at the CRR of Nice, he is currently a guitar professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lyon. Since September 2017, he has been a guitar professor at the CNSM of Paris where he also teaches didactics.”
